Review:
This article is published in March 2020, statistics used are quite fresh. Authors’ analysis is based on rich literature review, including energy reserves, mining costs, environmental impact, China’s participation and attitude from international arena. It can be seen from these studies that foreign countries pay more attention to environmental protection and the impact on inhabitants, while domestic studies pay more attention to the legal environment and specific strategies in Arctic governance.
The author's research on energy mainly focuses on natural gas, rare earth, renewable energy and hydrogen energy, whose focus was on clean energy and energy transformation. Authors believe that the current risk that energy development needs to deal with is high cost and difficulty, which involves environmental and political factors. And then give suggestion on China’s participation.
One drawback is that, researchers didn’t give a conclusion. Each issue in the article is comprehensively analyzed, and some perspectives are also very special. If there is a conclusion, then these scattered topics can be connected.
